Early Super Bowl pick...take Giants +13 before it drops further
I didn't think I'd feel compelled to post my Super Bowl pick so soon, but I'm already regretting not giving out the Giants +14 vs. the Patriots when the line first came out on Sunday night (and missing it myself when I was busy writing a story on the opening lines for the Sports Eye Publications) and now it's Monday morning and the line is down to 13 everywhere in Las Vegas and the CRIS offshore book is at 12.5 and Pinnacle has it at 12.5 but the Giants +12.5 has a price of -110 with the Patriots -12.5 at +102.
That might not mean much to you, but that's referred to as the "Pinnacle lean" and indicates that more money is coming in on the Giants' side and the line is more likely to go down before it goes back up. Pinnacle has an 8-cent line (as opposed to a 20-cent line for books that typically charge -110 each way), so with a line at 12.5 and attached juice of -110/+102, that's really closer to a line of 12 since they would adjust the juice to -106/-102, and is almost closer to 11.5 since that would be -102/-106.
OK, I probably lost some of you there, but basically what I'm saying is the Giants +13 lines that are available as of this writing might not be there for long, so if you like the underdog you're probably better off grabbing it now as opposed to later. (Note: as I was writing this, CRIS moved to 12.) Conversely, if you're leaning toward laying the points with the Patriots as they try to complete their undefeated season (though they are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games, and 1-7 in their last eight), you should probably wait.
I'll post later about why I like the New York side, and will be adding proposition wagers over the next two weeks.

Dave, I have been handicapping football for 20 years. NE was laying 13 at HOME against the Giants, and only won by 3. Now at a nuetral site they open up a 14 point favorite and the public gets sucked into the Giants.. You should LAY THE WOOD as NE will WIN & COVER by 3 TD's.
