Derby 135 selections; plus sports plays heading into weekend
It's Derby Weekend, but there's a lot more going on with the NBA & NHL playoffs as well as a full slate of Major League Baseball plus the Hatton-Pacquiao fight on Saturday night. I'm glad to put Thursday behind me as I went 0-2 with MLB underdogs and also lost with the Blazers vs. the Rockets. I'll start with two MLB umpire totals as that's where I've had the most success lately.
MLB UMPIRE TOTALS (27-11-1 on the season and a net profit of 13.7 units)
Marlins-Cubs UNDER ...Brian O'Nora 22-12 with the under last year, 3-1 this year
Angels-Yankees OVER ...Hunter Wendelstedt 20-12-2 with the over last year, 3-2 this year
Red Sox-Rays UNDER ..John Hirschbeck 3-1 with the under this year
MLB UNDERDOGS (27-35 for a net loss of 0.14 units)
Cardinals EV vs. Nationals
Padres +120 vs. Dodgers
Royals +160 vs. Twins
NHL playoffs (6-7 for a net profit of 2.3 units thanks to the power of plus-money)
Ducks +200 vs. Red Wings
NBA PLAYOFFS (6-7 for a net loss of 1.7 units)
No plays for Friday
